Roos Edge Cove
The Killeen Kangaroos avoided a mid-season upset by
edging the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs 10-7 Monday at Killeen Bowlerama. Mitchell Salak and Seth Rockwell led the Roos
to a 6-1 lead after match play, but the Dawgs roared back to trail only 6-5
after the first two team games and had a 52 pin lead. Needing to win the final two games, the Roos
edged Cove 162-158 and 180-152 to seal the victory while the Dawgs won total
pins. Killeen raised their record to 5-2
while Cove, who was led by Kevin Williams, fell to 1-6.
The Lady Roos made it a sweep with a 13-4 win over the
Lady Dawgs. Killeen led 5-2 after match
play behind Courtney Lopez, then took 3 of 4 team games for the final tally.

Grey Wolves Shut Out Lampasas
The
Shoemaker Grey Wolves shut out the Lampasas Badgers 17-0 Monday at Hallmark
Lanes. Jerry Green led the scoring the
Shoemaker who raised their record to 4-3.
Natalie Wessels led the Badgers (0-7) in scoring.
Briana Hewitt and Rechanale
Lockett led the Lady Grey Wolves in a walkover.

Knights Sweep Ellison
The
Harker Heights Knights edged the Ellison Eagles 9-8 Tuesday at Killeen
Bowlerama to remain undefeated at 7-0.
Playing without their top two scorers, the Knights still took a 5-2 lead
after match play behind Ryan Weeks and Mike Allgood. The Eagles came back to take a 6-5 lead by
winning the first two team games and took a commanding 61 pin lead. However, the Knights eked out a 201-192 win
in the 3rd game and won 171-143 in the final game to capture the match,
although Ellison won total pins. Ellison
fell into a tie with Shoemaker at 4-3 for the final playoff spot.
Danielle Shea led the
Lady Knights (4-3) to a 14-3 upset of the previously undefeated Lady
Eagles. Playing without their top two scorers,
Ellison fell behind 4-3 after match play before Heights swept the team
games. Shea averaged 210 for the Lady
Knights while Chesea Evans and Amanda Brown topped the scoring for Ellison. The loss left the Lady Eagles tied with
Shoemaker for the district lead at 6-1 and sets up their match next Monday
against the Lady Grey Wolves for the probable district title.
