Shoemaker Upsets Roos, Lady Wolves Roll

The Shoemaker Grey Wolves pulled off the first major upset of the season by edging the Killeen Kangaroos Monday at Killeen Bowlerama.  Behind Robert Macko, Eric Medina and Jerry Green, the Grey Wolves eked out a 4-3 lead after match play and took the first team game.  The Roos came back to take the next two team games to take the lead.  Trailing by 31 pins, Killeen had to win the final game to gain the victory, but they fell short by a single pin to give Shoemaker the 9-8 victory.  Mitchell Salak, Josh Morgan and Seth Rockwell topped the scoring for the Roos, who fell to 3-2 in district play.   Shoemaker pulled into a 3-way tie for 2nd place, also with a 3-2 record.

The Lady Grey Wolves kept pace with district leading Ellison with a 15-2 victory over the Lady Roos.  Kaneysha Black led a balanced attack for Shoemaker (4-1).  The Lady Roos, led by Courtney Lopez, won only the final team game to fall to 1-4 in district play.
